About Triple A

Awareness Acceptance & Assistance–or Triple A for short–is an initiative by high school students to connect internationally around important dialogues on mental health. We achieve this through collaborative projects that are implemented as smaller initiatives within local communities, building a global support network, and fostering a safe space free of judgment for students during such challenging times.

We're so glad you're here and hope you find the resources helpful!

Suhani Chawla, Founding Ambassador

As someone who values empowering social change and interacting with people globally, founding Triple A provided the perfect opportunity for me to enhance my knowledge and implement action, specifically on mental health, a topic I am particularly passionate about. While participating in the Yale Young Global Scholar's program, my group and I recognized the lack of resources some communities have while struggling with mental health due to expenses, stereotypes that stigmatize those struggling, and negligence towards the issue. Hence, founding Triple A addresses these issues and allows me to be a part of something that is creating real change.

Recognition

Triple A is proud to announce that we have received $500 USD as part of The East Asia Regional Council of School's (EARCOS) Global Citizenship Community Service Grant! We are honored to have been chosen for this grant and look forward to using this to further our initiatives.

Meet the Ambassadors!

and...

Chaeeun Lee, from South Korea, studying at Shanghai Community International School
These days,
people are not spending enough time looking back at themselves and checking their mental health. As a student studying to major in social psychology, raising awareness of global issues related to mental health and finding ways to support them is definitely fulfilling work. I look forward to interacting with global societies and helping people who suffer from issues related to mental health!

Ani Petrosyan, from Armenia, studying at the University of Pennslyvania

I am from the Innovations in Science & Technology session in the YYGS program and by joining the YYGS I had the hope that I will be able to solve a global issue with like-minded peers. I think mental illness is one of the most common issues a lot of people have, so I would like to help others to overcome it.

Sushmit Chakma, from Bangladesh

I joined YYGS to experience so many diverse cultures around the world, understand how they think, their wholesomeness, and their way of life. Along the way, I wanted to have the best education in solving the biggest challenges the world faces. I think mental health is valued less than physical health, but it plays a vital role for happiness, hence raising awareness about it is necessary.
