RIP Stress!

Let your stress Rest In Pieces!

RIP Stress is a supportive mental health project that aims to promote open dialogue about stress. This project encourages students to write down what they are stressed about on a piece of paper, rip it up, and throw it in the jar. Once the jar is filled, the school community is made aware of the amount of stress students are experiencing and ambassadors Dayoon Jeong, Minsoo Kwak, and Mathew Wang at Shanghai Community International School and Jing'an Daning International School host a stress-relieving activity across the school to help students cope with stress and build a supportive community.

RIP Stress

By providing an outlet for students to express their stress in a safe and non-judgmental environment, RIP Stress helps to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health. Students are often hesitant to talk about their stress due to the fear of being perceived as weak or inadequate. However, this project encourages students to open up and seek support from their peers, creating a more compassionate and empathetic school community.

Furthermore, this project promotes self-care and stress management by providing students with a tangible way to release their stress. The act of ripping up a piece of paper and throwing it in the jar can be a cathartic and empowering experience for students. Additionally, the stress-relieving activity hosted by the ambassadors can serve as a fun and interactive way for students to learn about different coping strategies and build resiliency skills.
