Belle Âme

Belle Âme is a clothing brand that was established in 2021, its main aim is to spread awareness for mental health. Belle Ame is French for beautiful soul, which is something the brand resonates with. To me, having a beautiful should means to have a kind, giving, genuine and understanding soul, all of these are traits I hope everyone tries to acquire. There is such a negative stigma around mental health which is what belle âme wants to change because everyone struggles from time to time so it’s about time to start talking about them. Through Belle Âme I wanted to completely change the idea that beauty comes in one size or look, the sizes of my clothing vary from one end to another, and people of all backgrounds are welcome to purchase. In making a brand that would advocate and support getting rid of the mental health stigma, I found that it was important that I would also be directly helping people with the proceeds that I get. Through that, I decided that I would be donating half of my profit to Lifeline Shanghai. Lifeline China is a volunteer-based organization in Shanghai that offers free, confidential counseling from 10AM to 10PM every day for the English-speaking community. They offer free support for those in need of mental health counseling. - Noemie Ng-Triquet
